Anyways, there are more exchange students here than i thought there would be (about 30 with the program ISEP which I came with and some from other programs) and I actually have a pretty good group of friends already which is really nice because that way I generally have someone with me when I am going somewhere (you're welcome mom and dad). There are two "malls" or shopping districts within really good walking distance so I got me some toilet paper because its not provided and a FAN. it is hot here. it has been raining all of this week which makes it humid and hot which is apparently not normal. I dont use a blanket when I sleep.
Oh, my dresses/moo-moo's from the thrift store have brought mixed feelings, I had a lady ask me for the one I was wearing yesterday and also a guy about my age at the market used it as a pick up line except he goes "what the heck are you wearing, you look like you are wearing my mothers dress" so i told him that he was rude and now we are great friends. I also had a guy eat half of my granola bar right out of my hand, just got right up in my grill and CHOMP... not what I was expecting.
Anyways everyone here is super nice and funny- they speak pretty good english but they prefer setswana (their native language) so I am determined to become fluent by next tuesday. Also one other girl and I joined the soccer team!! We play on a dirt field almost every day and our first game is actually this weekend! Real excited for that one.
Also, the food is terrible. And I just found my first mosquito bite. And I am already sunburned through the clouds. BUT ITS AMAZING HERE! I LOVE IT.
Haven't taken any pictures yet but I am going to start. I'm trying to blend in.
